Annette grew up in Colorado with an intense love of horses. She was first introduced to the Australian Shepherd as a young child, and brought one home from the barn she rode at. In 1975 she bought her first registered Aussie, and bred her first litter in 1981.

Annette has owned or bred national specialty obedience and conformation winners, as well as consistent top 10 winners. Whelping puppies has been a joy, bringing new lives into the world and love into new families. Annette often whelped other's bitches, it might reduce the owner's stress level to zero.

She spends most of her show time on the "other side of the ropes" as a judge, judging not only in the US, but in Europe as well.

Annette has achieved the status of "Senior" breeder judge....(not because she's old, but the number of shows judged!).

Annette spent 16 years as a Veterinary Technician, much of it in a large and small animal mixed practice, before coming to work at WhelpWise.

She was an "oncall" tech for c-sections at several clinics. It was at the Veterinary clinic that she met her first Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, finally acquiring her first in 2001.

Annette enjoys attending her daughter's many sporting events, and when not attending to that child; time with her dogs, sewing, knitting, and "outdoorsy" stuff.
